Intro to E-Marketing
E-marketing is a rapidly changing field,
and we plan to keep this course fresh by frequent updates of course
materials as well as current articles found on the Internet.
It's easy to confuse the subject of this course with the
subject of marketing on the Internet. However, we will cover a broader
area. This course centers on the discussion of all items that are part of
the marketing mix for companies that need to
gain, maintain, or recover lost competitive advantage through taking
advantage of the Internet for promotion, distribution, conducting
marketing research, or developing an electronic commerce capability.
You'll see a lot of information about Internet marketing, but you'll also
see discussion of the role of
traditional advertising and promotions in driving customers to websites.
