Conclusion

I hope that you’ve enjoyed learning the basic mechanics of putting together a speech. I remember times (before I really understood the mechanics of speech) when I would sit and look at a blank sheet of paper and say to myself, “I just don’t know what to say, and I don’t know how to say it."

I’m so thankful that I have learned the importance of (1) selecting and organizing a topic, (2) choosing a topic I’m genuinely interested in, and (3) taking the time to the read and research information to inform or persuade. I hope that you will feel the same way as you continue on in this course.
