Roles and Responsibilities
Team Leader
All team
members should work towards the same goal. Always reward merit, but never let
errors go unremarked.
It is
the responsibility of the team leader to find new team members and develop the
team working spirit. The leader has the ability to judge the talents and
personalities of individual within the team. He puts in efforts to overcome
weaknesses. A leader further inspires the team and sustains enthusiasm of the
members.
Critic
The
critic acts as a guardian and analysis the team performance. The satisfaction
comes only with the best solution. The critic is an expert at analysing
solutions to find the possible weaknesses within them and is constructive in
pointing ways to possible remedies.
Implementer
The job
of the implementer is to ensure the smooth running of the team's action. He
thinks methodically and prevents delays in the schedule. He is able to rally
support and overcome defeatism.
External contact
This
team member looks after the team's external relationships. He has the ability
to judge the needs of others and has a reassuring and authoritative presence.
He can grasp the overall picture of the team's work and is discreet when
handling confidential information.
Co-coordinator
It is
the job of the co-ordinator to pull together the work of the whole team into a
cohesive plan. He understands the task difficulties and has a strong sense of
priorities. He further maintains the internal contacts and heads off potential
trouble.
Ideas person
The
ideas person shoulders encouraging the team's innovative vitality and energy.
Of course, such a person needs to be enthusiastic and lively with a zest for
new ideas. The ideas person is further receptive to the ideas of others and
sees problems as a means for innovation. The ideas person overflows with
hopeful suggestions.
Inspector
This
member of the team ensures that high standards are sought and maintained. He
has to often be strict to enforce rigorous standards within the team.
Moreover, he judges well the performance of the team members and brings their
problems to the surface. He is good both at praising and finding faults.
