There are some common symptoms of migraine headaches which includes severe pain, nausea, pain mainly one-sided vomiting, throbbing, pulsating,sensitivity to light and noise, Pain worse with activity.

About 15% of migraine sufferers experience an "aura" 10 to 30 minutes before they have a migraine headache. Aura can include visual changes such as bright flashing lights; blind spots; flickering, colored zigzag lines; or loss of vision off to one or both sides. Aura can also include strange odors; tingling sensation or numbness in the arms or legs, dizziness, confusion, or speech disorders. The cause of aura is still unknown.

 

When many of these symptoms are apparent and the headache is a recurring problem, your doctor may perform several tests to help rule out other disorders and to be sure that you suffer from migraine headaches rather than another physical problem.
