Focus on what you have

“When the heart is empty it collects things.''

- J Krishna Murti

Most of the problems that crop up in an organization are because people operate from a scarcity consciousness; they feel that there is too little of everything: opportunities, promotions, resources, time and money. Everyone tends to hoard things unnecessarily, as a result things get out of circulation - the system becomes far from perfect and abundant and all this actually results in scarcity of things.

Organizations, having a culture where people do not keep but circulate things they do not need, work in an environment of abundance. People always have what they need at the right time and place.

Appreciate your assets

Make a list of all that you have achieved in your life, individually as well as organizationally.

Every time you achieve a goal add that to your list. Don't forget to include even your most trivial desires that have been fulfilled. Read this list everyday and be thankful that you are among the fortunate few whose dreams have come true.

Recognize and constantly appreciate what others have done for you.

When we don't think of what we have, we do not begin to get ideas on how to use what we have more creatively and more positively to get what we want - or may be much more!

Get rid of your attachments

  • Get rid of your attachments to money, to winning arguments and other things, to your physical form, your assets, your past and to the notion that your ideas, actions, attitudes, values alone are right.

  • Be detached to money if you want to let money flow into your life - work for it if you want to but only as a duty towards fulfillment of your intentions. It should not disturb you if expected results don't come, getting perturbed is a sign of being attached.
  • Identify your goals and be willing to give all that it takes to achieve them.

  • Make different groups to visualize different goals getting fulfilled - if your organization must fulfil more goals simultaneously.

  • Cut pictures of organizational goals and paste them at prominent places along with positive affirmations to remind your employees of them constantly.
