Use time, money or other resources only when necessary.

  • Make sure you know where the fixed assets are and how well are they functioning.

  • Be aware of the duration when some equipment was not in working order and the reasons thereof. This information must be available in an updated CD in the documentation centre of every unit, department and branch of the organization.

  • If any asset is idle, sell it off, auction it out or donate it to an undisputed agency working for a social cause or simply dispose it off in an environmentally acceptable way.

  • When you purchase a machine, ensure that you are not paying for some of the functions that you will never use. However, make sure that you are paying less because you are opting for fewer functions, not poor quality.

  • Ask how you can use your time, money and other resources to get new customers and increase the bulk of each order the established customers are booking with you.

  • Keep detailed information about the interests, skills, knowledge (papers or books written by them) and capabilities of all the employees so that you don't spend on training that could be arranged more effectively in-house.
