All that we find disagreeable in others has got a lesson
for us - it often mirrors our own hidden shortcomings and weaknesses, so that
we can start seeing the same within.Identifying a weakness within us is the first step towards
getting rid of it.
Positive
thoughts, in the first stage, make you commit to all that is required to
bring about the best in you and make you honor that commitment. They make
you consider all the causes for a possible failure so that you can incorporate
the necessary precautions in your planning.
In
the second stage, they instill in you a positive image about yourself.
Finally
in the third stage, they make you perform exactly in accordance with how
you perceive yourself to be.
See
the positive hidden in every negative experience. For example, if your boss
finds small mistakes in your work you may take this to be frustrating. However,
ask yourself, “What is the positive thing hidden in this seemingly negative
happening? In what way will I benefit from it?”
Situations
are never bad; the way we interpret them often is. It is only when we fail
to see what is positive in any situation because of our self-imposed
limitations on our perception that we label certain experiences as bad or
negative.
