Take objective criticism as a useful input in guiding your efforts for self-improvement.

  • Don't pay heed to subjective criticism even if it is you who are commenting about yourself. If someone tells you that you are stupid, don't pay attention.

  • The best thing you can do to teach the other person a lesson is to show by your own example what is expected of him or her.

  • When you are told by another that you don't perform well because you don't care to listen carefully to what the boss is expecting from you, do thank the person and find out how you can improve your listening skills.

  • Be careful that you don't talk about yourself in a disparaging manner whenever you talk to yourself.

  • Understand that you are a unique person born for a definite purpose and hence it is absurd to compare yourself with anybody else and feel inferior in any way.
