Confident thoughts result in a confident posture and vice versa.

  • People who are successful can be identified by their posture. They sit, stand and walk with their spine erect. Their shoulders are thrown back, their chest is out and their abdomen is in and they either look straight ahead or up but not down.

  • When you hold your body as if you are powerful, resourceful, confident and competent, you start feeling that you already are all that.

  • When you smile and laugh more often, your brain gets the corresponding messages. The body chemistry changes accordingly and you actually feel more cheerful.

  • If you copy the gestures, facial expressions, posture and the breathing pattern of someone, whether happy or depressed, it will put you in the same mental and emotional state that the person being copied is in.

  • Watch how your role models breathe and hold their body while they speak and try to mirror their physiology every time you need to get into the same resourceful and positive states of mind that they are in.
