Design Review
Design review is documented, comprehensive and systematic
examination of a design to evaluate its capability to fulfil the requirements
for quality, identify the problems if any and propose the development of
solutions.
All the conclusions of each phase of design are formally
documented. Systematic and critical review of design should be done by a group
of concerned personnel, representing affecting quality as appropriate to the
phase being reviewed. All records of design review must be
maintained.
Elements of design review should include:

pertaining to customer needs and satisfaction
- Items
pertaining to product specification requirements
- Items
pertaining to process specification
- Items
pertaining to material/input specification
- Items
pertaining to market requirements
Wherever essential, prototype models of the product should be
developed to test the actual performance in simulated or real functional
environment.
