Design Verification

Verification is defined as confirmation by examination and provision of objective evidence that specified requirements have been fulfilled.

At appropriate stages of design, design should be verified to ensure that the design stage output meets the design stage input requirements. Design verification is generally done by making alternate calculations, comparing a new design with similar proven designs, testing prototypes and review of documents.
